The ability to track, manage, and control resources and manpower is available in most packages but selecting the right project management software for your company is imperative in keeping your projects on time and under budget.
When selecting new software start by looking at the features. Do you need a high-quality software program that adheres to the Project Management Institute’s (PMI’s) standards? A feature-rich program will enable your team to work faster and easier. But paying for features that will never be used is a waste of money, so be selective when reviewing options. Once you have decided on the features you need, you may want to verify if the project management software interfaces with other programs you already use. Some programs will allow the importing and exporting files to other software such as MS Project files.
