Attending PMI Chapter Meetings

If you have not yet done so, please attend a local chapter meeting of the Project Management Institute (PMI). I have come across a lot of people who think that attending one of these meetings is not for them because they are not REALLY project managers. If you manage project schedules sometimes, you're close enough. You will be very welcome at one of these dinner meetings. Most importantly, you will come away from the meeting having listened to a good speaker and having met people who can help you overcome challenges by sharing similar experiences and their solutions. It could cost you anywhere from $20-50, depending on the chapter, dinner option, etc. It's a small investment to at least attend one time and meet a few people. Find your local chapter online at:

http://www.pmi.org/

You may want to visit your local chapter's Web site first so that you can pick a meeting with a specific speaker who interests you.
