Edit Approved Time Sheets

Once a time sheet has been approved, it will no longer allow edits within the time entries. In order to make corrections, the time sheet must first be re-submitted for approval to force it back into the approval status "pending" state. This action can only be taken by a Time Sheet Approver or Time/Expense/Invoice Manager and must comply with the following circumstances.
    1. None of the current time entries has been invoiced.
    2. There are no lockdown rules implemented which may either lock the entries or the time sheet.

To edit a time sheet you must resubmit a time sheet for approval below are the steps.
    1. User trying to resubmit time sheet must be a Time Sheet Approver.
    2. Navigate to the approved time sheet.
    3. Submit the time sheet using the submit time sheet icon in the upper-right icon selections.
    4. Submit the time sheet to yourself for approval.

The time sheet can now be edited by you, the approver, or by the person who submitted the time. Then the time sheet can then be approved again once the corrections have been done.

Alternatively, the approver could choose to delete the entire time sheet, releasing all of the time entries back to the Time Entry Worksheet for re-submission onto a new time sheet by the resource. This method requires specific instructions for the resource to set his/her time entry worksheet to the proper time frame in order to view and edit the time entries.

If you are using PM Only approval process or 2-Tier Approval Process to resubmit for approval there is an extra step and user resubmitting time sheet should be a System Admin as well as a Time Sheet Approver.

To edit a time sheet with the PM Approval system in place you must resubmit a time sheet for approval below are the steps.
    1. User trying to resubmit time sheet must be a Time Sheet Approver and a System Admin.
    2. Navigate to the approved time sheet.
    3. Submit the time sheet using the submit time sheet icon in the upper-right icon selections.
    4. Submit the time sheet to yourself for approval, this will make you the final approver if your using 2-Tier.
    5. Since the time sheet is using PM Approval, only a PM on the project(s) can edit the entries after resubmitting the time sheet. Make yourself a temporary PM on the projects you wish to edit the time entries for, or have the current PM(s) on the project edit the entries.
