Mental models are a set of beliefs or a way of thinking that determines one’s behavior, outlook and mental attitude. This is otherwise known as our mindset. It affects everything we say and do with others and everything they say and do with us. We believe that others think like us, but they don’t. When we understand that others don’t think like we do, we can humbly accept that the viewpoints of others may be equally as valid as ours.
