This query would be used in a situation where auto-alerts had not been working and were about to be fixed. For example, if the Project Insight Windows Service had been stopped for a month you would want to run this query to purge the backlogged email alert triggers from sending outdated messages before restarting the service.

The following SQL Server query run in the ProjectInsight database will purge any backlogged auto-alert triggers. It does not change the auto-alert settings which users have saved in Project Insight.
