If you ever needed to stop a user(s) from getting email auto-alerts only get Online Notifications, you do not need to edit your Global Auto-alerts or change any project template auto-alerts. There is an option to disable a user from getting Email Notifications on the user profile.
- Edit user profile by clicking edit icon.
- Click on Preferences tab.
- Uncheck the box "Enable Email Notifications
- Click save button
