Tutorial II – Project Planning & Design with IT in Mind

Audience

Project manager, business or operational manager, software developer, software tester, member of a PMO, member of a governance panel, quality assurance team member, or anyone in the IT department

Description

Once a project has been officially launched it must be planned, the design must begin and the high level testing efforts should be identified. This can be accomplished through leveraging the following deliverables: project plan, project deliverables, project schedule (work breakdown structure), CM Plan, QA plan, project procedures, project risk log, project issue log, change request log, user acceptance (UA) test plan, user acceptance (UA) evaluation criteria, user acceptance (UA) defect log and requirements traceability log. After this webinar, you will understand the purpose and use of each of the listed deliverables.

Benefits

  • Understand the purpose, scope and objectives of initial project planning
  • Recognize how project planning is a reflection of software development and software testing lifecycles
  • Learn the project planning is iterative and dependent on project evolution
